If you would rather try for more, say so and we will enter the item into the next suitable sale instead, with an agreed reserve. You choose which route suits you.
What to send
Photographs from a few angles, any marks or hallmarks, and a note of any damage. The more we can see, the more confident the offer and the less we need to come back to you.
Questions we are asked
How quickly will I hear back?
Usually within one working day. Items that need a closer look or a specialist opinion can take a little longer, and we will tell you if so.
Is the offer binding?
No. It is there for you to accept or decline. Accept and we settle; decline and nothing further happens.
Do I get more at auction or from an outright offer?
Sometimes the sale makes more, sometimes the certainty of an offer is worth more than the wait. We will tell you honestly which we think suits your item and let you choose.
Do I have to send the item first?
Not for the offer — photographs and details are enough to start. If you accept, we arrange collection or you send it in insured, and we settle once it is with us.
