Auction Calendar
Every sale coming up across the marketplace, grouped by the day it starts. Live sales run to a real-time clock with a webcast and a falling hammer; timed sales stay open for days and close lot by lot, so you can bid whenever it suits you. Start times are shown in UK time, and each entry names the auction house running the sale so you know whose terms apply.
Set a reminder on any sale and we will email you before the first lot is offered, so a closing time never catches you out. A reminder is free and needs nothing more than an account; it does not commit you to bid on anything.
You will need a free account to bid, but the calendar and every catalogue are open to read without one. Use the calendar to plan a week of sales, follow a house you already buy from, or spot a specialist sale in a field you collect. Each entry links straight to the full catalogue, where every lot carries its own photographs, description, estimate and closing time.
If you are new to buying this way, our guide to buying walks through registering, being approved to bid and paying after the hammer, and the results archive shows what comparable lots have made.
Planning around a sale
How far ahead is the calendar published?
Houses list sales as soon as they are confirmed, usually a few weeks ahead, and the calendar fills up as each sale is prepared. Specialist sales can appear later than general ones, so it is worth checking back or setting a reminder on a house you follow.
What is the difference between a live sale and a timed sale?
A live sale starts at a set time and runs to a real clock, with an auctioneer taking bids and a webcast to watch. A timed sale stays open for days and closes lot by lot, so you can bid at any hour and a late bid can extend the closing time of that lot.
Do I need an account to use the calendar?
No. The calendar and every catalogue are open to read without an account. You need a free account only to bid, to save a lot to a watchlist, or to set a closing reminder.
How do reminders work?
Set a reminder on any sale and we email you before the first lot is offered, so a closing time does not pass you by. A reminder is free, needs only an account, and commits you to nothing.
Are the times shown in my own timezone?
Times are shown in UK time, so a closing time cannot be misread against a house's own clock. If you are bidding from abroad, convert once and set a reminder rather than relying on the hour shown.
